"The FSPA, representing its BGIA golf association members, successfully lead lobbying action by co-ordinating Europe (FESI) and the World (WFSGI) Federation to vote down a proposed standard specifying safety requirements for the minimum strength of golf clubs. Via the Technical Committee, the UK, USA, France and Germany all voted there was no need for a standard in this area as it is already well covered by the USGA and R&A." Jane Montgomery, FSPA
